First – some good news. This is my first post at boardgamer.wordpress.com. I will be chronicling my adventures, good and bad, with board games, both playing and buying them.
I have a home page as well, at www.kstehle.com
Next – the bad news. Neutral Ground, one of the best independent gaming stores in New York is temporarily closing. And they don’t know when they will open again, although they do plan to re-open.
Finally- the good news. All of their games are on sale, at least 25% off if not more. And I bought a few – 2 for myself, which I will list, and a few for other people as presents (and obviously won’t list):
This game is supposed to be fun, interesting, and was one of the Mensa Select Cometition Winners in one of the past years. I’m hoping it will live up to its reputation (despite the crazy looking cover).
I’m particularly excited about this game, as I enjoyed the original version the few times I’ve played it. You’ll find out if it’s as good as the original as soon as I find 3 more people to play.
All in all, for me it was a good day. Perhaps a bad day for New York’s board game scene though.
